Small problem with my HTPC

I got a new motherboard in my old case. Now the power switch doesn't reach, it's just sitting in the case and I have to open the case to use it. I need more length to the wires, it's 9 pins. Would this be the same an internal usb extesion, I need one of those too, It looks similar. If it's not what do I need?

It may or may not be the same.  Pictures would help.

If you can solder, you can probably cut the wires and make an extension with extra cable.

It looks the same to me but I'm unsure. I can solder I just figured it would be easier to buy.

Try plugging the USB plug onto the front panel header with the power off. If it fits just acquire a male-female USB header extension and plug the front panel connectors into the extension.

A connection is a connection in my opinion.

Unless your picture has been flipped somehow I don't think they will be the same.

The last pin looks like its in the wrong spot. I say you get a USB extension and reroute the last wire through a new hole. Shouldn't be too hard to make a hole and probably easier than soldering. Worst case, you end up with a little spare wiring to solder with?

Looking at the picture it is on the wrong spot. I ordered a few usb extensions, I'm sure I could make it work. I've looked at a many places online and I haven't seen a specific internal power extension.
