Small form factor build

Hello all! I might be doing another build soon and I am looking at a couple different options. I am interested in doing a small build. It will probably end up being an itx form factor. Anyone have any experience with these? I've only built atx, never had any problems with space, room for hds, cabling, multiple pci/pcie devices. Any tips? I'm also unsure of the case. I don't like the wide cases where the motherboard lies horizontally, like the Cooler Master Elite 130. I need something that can be tall, but thin. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of cases like this around.

Build 2: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3y78M

Both look pretty good.  I personally have a case where the motherboard lies flat(node 304), but it's small enough that I can put it on my desk and put stuff on top of it.  If you don't have that desk real estate though, then I suppose you have to get a tall and thin case.

I would go with the EVGA Hadron for the 80+G power supply.  The cooler doesn't really make a difference as both should be relatively quiet and cool.

The liquid cooler is only important for the silverstone build. It's so crammed in their that you wouldn't be able to even fit the stock intel cooler in there. Wires will get jammed up into the fan blades. Linus and a few others did builds with this case and it looks like its near impossible to use a traditional heat-sink. They all recommended using an all in one liquid cooler with a 120mm rad. But I am aware that traditionally I wouldn't need much on that cpu.
