may be able to update it right there right click maybe  choose update drivers

It says its the latest when I right click and update. However my bios version is old so I'll try to update that to see if anything changes.

Updated BIOS from the first version in 2010 to the last 2012 version and actually got slower in some cases.

This might be my problem since I updated the bios and this is the only thing I have left to think of.

Still no change in boot speed and this was the most current I found.

Try downloading as ssd , run a benchmark , also look for anything stating where its running pci ide or sata ahci

I would say its just a optimize thing now. and double check the intel drivers. 340 is close i would normally expect it to be around 480 seq reads. go through the ssd guide  carefully  .

run>msconfig>boot>advanced>no. of processors - set to 4.

are you plugged into the blue or gray sata ports?

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2191160 If your board bios is updated, firmware is updated , clean installed, intel ahci drivers updated  and on , fully optimized with the guide listed . Other than turning off any powering saving states in bios . I am stumped. Admittedly thats not hard to do , as i am not real familiar with intel builds.

Oh Im so sorry for all this work but it was the SATA port problem, I knew I needed SATA III but I wasnt using the Intel ports. http://gyazo.com/27950ccb3a39958e6d1ceffce1612ec2

So although my benchmarks are within(I assume) to be expected, it still took 2 minutes and 27 seconds to boot.

Cool, thats it ,right where it needs to be. Now for your start up turn on your quick boot optimize your boot priorty in bios. Clean your start up and optimize your os settings with the sdd guide i posted.

Works only begone now lol. Research the internet for how to shorten your startup. There is so many things out there that it would take long to list. You have to figure out how it applies to your system and setup. So just be patience do the ground work. Once i got to 30 seconds i didnt care to put any more effort into it.

If it helps any the longest stage in my boot up is after the windows logo and the windos blue screen that says welcome, after the welcome I get a black screen with my cursor for a long time.

Use this tool to re-align your partition. Just select partition and select align. You can also use as ssd to see the performance of the drive. If after the alignment the performance still sucks then rma the drive. It's not uncommon to get a dud.
