u can sli any 2 cards of the same model. but i wouldnt bother with the 650 ti boost just save the money and get a better single card solution. but thats just my 2 cents.
So I could get any brand but it has to be 650 Ti BOOST? Nothing below 650ti or nothing above 650ti?
650 ti boost and nothing else (you'd think a 650 ti would work, but they're actually different cards)
it must be a gtx 650 ti boost paired with a gtx 650 ti boost. U can run any brand of gpu with any brand of gpu as long as they are the same chip set (thats why you can do a hd 7970 with a r9 280x, they are the same chip set)
got it thanks guys!
It can be two different brand, but it needs to be the same type of GPU. You can also have them on different clockspeed, but you would be limited by the slowest. So I would recommend you to take two similar cards to avoid any conflict. Also, SLI tend to need a lot of power and it makes a lot of heat. As Hadesfriend said, it would be better to stay with only one card, but get a better one if you want to upgrade.
