Ok so the most amazing thing just happened to me, and I wanted to come here and share it with all you guys!
My friend is a game tester and apparently is going to be receiving copies of Skyrim fairly cheap (compared to retail price). Is anyone here interested? He said he will have at least 10 copies that he'll let me sell to people.
$40 for pre-ordering, and a picture of the key will be emailed to you once I receive it from him (upon release). Or if you want to wait until it's released that's cool as well :)
Yeah it must be payment for testing. I'm not quite sure why he's getting so many this time, he never has before. In the past he's had one extra copy for me and that's it.
Alright well I'll ask him how we should do this. Because he needs the money before he can send me the cd keys, but I know some people wouldn't be comfortable just sending me money over paypal and then having to wait a week or so to get the game.
What do you guys think? I know I'm a little iffy when it comes to stuff like that
I'm a little iffy. Btw, are these digital or physical copies?
Part of the reason I can sell them so cheap is because he doesn't have to ship them. They are physical copies, but he just takes a picture of the CD key and emails them to me. Then you put them into Steam/Origin/etc and download the game.
Be careful. This gives your friend the power to steal a Steam account without much effort. All he has to do is scan the cd key that you applied to your account, send that scan with a support ticket number to Steam support, and that will 'prove' that he owns the Steam account.

Lol, I've known Jared for 15 years. We grew up together, he would never do anything like that.
And he emails me the scans of the CD key, so I also have proof of ownership.
Yeah, I think I'm just going to go out and buy a physical copy, just because I don't like downloading games when I don't have access to an awesome internet connection, and I really don't have access to an uber fast connection right now.
