Whats up guys, I have a Corsair 650d case, I want to replace the front fan (200mm only) to something quieter. I want something under 20dB. I have some Noctua NF-P14 FLX 140mm fans going in the top, I have not ordered them yet so any advice would be appreciated but my main concern is the front. Anybody know of a really quiet 200mm fan? Maybe if someone knows of a way to mount a 140mm without destroying the case?? Thanks Everybody!
Also I do have the fans plugged into the fan controller on my case.
You have very limited options at 200mm.
Take a look at Bitfenix Spectre or the Cooler Master 200mm that comes with Cosmos and HAF cases.
I have a bitfenix right now that is much too loud. I looked a some cooler master fans but they are too big for the front of the case.
The only other option is the NZXT fan and its specs are pretty much the same as Bitfenix.
You are calling a sub-1000rpm fan much too loud.
Maybe try undervolting them to 5v ?
I have a Bitfenix PRO 230 mm, and it is very quiet at 7 Volts.
