Id go with the Define R4, im biased because i own one and love it but the Bitfenix Ghost is to unsturdy for me with the Plastic used in some parts, the only Other alternative i might add thats not on your list that ive done loads of research into is the Antec P280.
Silent cases are all about silent fans, if you can keep your fans quiet and a positive pressure in your case (to keep it cool and dust free) then any case can be a silent case. Otherwise if you aren't looking to keep the fans at a whisper and rather dampen the sound of high rpm fans with a case then buy a case with sound dampening material or buy your own sound dampening material and install it. Fractal implements the sound dampening material rather well in their chassis
SilverStone is way too underrated. I absolutely love my FT01B-W. Lian Li is even better, but quality is going to cost you.
As OccultAssassin said, it's not about the case (except the the use of sound dampening material), but the stuff you put in them. I use Noctua fans - deadly silent. My HDDs are the noisiest things in the system.
I agree, it is all about what generates the noise. The best fans I've found so far is the Be quiet! Silentwings 2 140 mm. This second edition Silentwings are very quiet, better than my Noctua fans by far. The first edition is quite a bit noisier, so be sure to get the second edition.
Aesthetically I'd go for the R4 or the Ghost. None of the others are really suiting to my personal taste. It IS important to have a case that you find aesthetically pleasing, as I'm sure you know. It doesn't matter how nice your parts are, you have to actaually enjoy looking at your computer.
Use a Fractal Design case. The R4 is fantastic, but if you want a larger case, get the Fractal Design Xl rev 2. It is just a full tower R4. I have the Fractal Design XL USB 3.0 (it is the first version of the XL) and it is extremely silent. I can barely hear my Phanteks PH-TC14PE with 2x140mm fans, 2x140mm Corsair AF case fans, and a 180mm SilverStone case fan. I highly recommend Fractal for their simplistic, modern design and superb quality and price.
