Side Scrollers on Curved Monitors

I plan on getting 2 new curved monitors soon, these ones to be exact:

I get the appeal when it comes to playing on curved monitors for 3D games for the immersion, but what about 2D side scrolling games? Wouldn’t a game like Super Mario Bros look a little weird when the edges of the screen are stretched outwards when they’re supposed to be flat? Do any of you have any experience with this? Does it look fine, did you have to get used to it, etc.?

this is less of a thing more about viewing angles i have a 27" screen curved and it barely has a curve … like if you want it go for it other wise at 32" it still wont make much sense… ultra wide and large format displays fully use that curve.

playing civ 5 it feels like a flat display but a game like divinity original sin looks better on it then a flat one…

most sub 40 inch 16:9 the curve makes no sense
ultrawide 34 inch 21:9 makes sense for the curve

the image is not distorted its just the viewing angle on the games

Ah ok, I was originally looking for a flat 32 inch display but none I could find had the specs/design I wanted so I settled on curved displays instead. Assuming that I sit about 3 feet back from my monitors, does this mean the curved effect won’t make much of difference to games that are meant to look flat?

yerp …like most of the time you wont even notice the screen has a curve in use but it will ‘feel’ wider and your eyes will not go to the side as much. games like mario bros will play fine

You wont even notice the curve after a little while using it.
