I've been thinking of deleting my Google account and switching to services like DuckDuckGo, Proton Mail, getting a VPN etc. Is that too extreme in terms of privacy? Am I too worried? If not, any suggestions on how I'd add more tinfoil?
Massive Faraday cage around your workstation, perhaps?
I've been using Google for 10 years or so, and so far nothing terrible has come of them harvesting my data. Not to say that they wont eventually go full Skynet, but I think its a bit overrated. The worst they have done is show me ads tailored to what I am interested in which I hardly ever see anyways since I use adblocker on most sites.
Its really up to you though. I dont have really much to hide, but if you do, them maybe moving away from data harvesters is a good idea
Stop using the internet/computers, throw away your phone, disconnect all your services, live off the land and pay cash for everything in stores without video surveillance.
Or use a VPN and buckets or sense and caution
here you can use some of mine
