I have ended up with two 7990s should I Xfire them or sell them or what?
FUCK YESS!! (or give one to me would also be very appreciated ;p)
but if you have the right psu and a strong enough cpu to not bottleneck YES
If you have the powersupply, why not try it?
Not sure how much the stutter, as its a 4 way GPU configuration.
Keep one and sell the other one. CrossfireX with four cards is ABSOLUTELY UN-necessary. scaling get's thrown out the window after adding a third card. and then adding a fourth is just a hit and a miss. it will either work or the fourth card won't run at all. also the power-draw won't be worth it. if you had four cards in your system, the power draw will be almost equivalent to using a small air conditioner.
+1. DO IT... Now
If you want to turn your PC into a space heater, then yes.
If you like cooking bacon simply using the heat coming out of the back of your computer, then yes.
If you like an electric bill that exceeds the GDP of Cuba, then yes.
If you like small form factor PCs, then probably not.
Use one and sell the other. 4 way crossfire and sli both are stupid. After 2 cards you either get diminishing returns or lower frame rates then a 2 way setup.
Come on. We all know Cuba doesn't have a gdp

0-100 real quick.
They each go for ~$300 a piece on eBay so you could get a 980 Ti.
Bragging rights with friends? You have friends that do computers???
sell one and the processor and upgrade the cpu. 4 way sli with an old CPU is bound to bottleneck.
I thinking if I was going to do the Quadfire to upgrade to a fx 9590....Is this still a bad idea?
I was I if I was going to do the Quadfire to upgrade to a fx 9590....Is this still a bad idea?
Probably the worst idea in terms of performance/$ and performance/Watt but like people said, follow your dreams :)
Thank you for the fast reply!
If you have like a 1500W PSU you might as well try it once.
I will:)
