Should i wait for 4th gen intel

Hey guys,

Im currently in the middle of a build. ive been getting parts for the last month or so and i was gonna get a intel 3770k and an msi mpower at the end of the week, however with the 4th generation of intel right around the corner should i wait. the rest of the build includes 2 x msi 660ti pe with 16gb of kingston hyper x beast 2133mhz. I'll be using it for video editiong, rendering and gaming so any input would help. I also dont mind going socket 2011 either.

That CPU is already pretty beast.  You likely won't need more then that.  Plus when the new architecture comes out it will likely be amazingly expensive... You could wait and buy the 3770 and save a bit of coin.  Unless ofcourse money doesn't matter... in which case I will gladly except donations.

grand it wont be ready till the end of may in anyway just trying to get time with the case mods, so i mite aswell  wait the extra week and save the coin.  :)

Though come to think of it Sandy Bridge i7's still aren't cheap... So maybe they won't drop that much... I'd be excited to see a 3770k under $300.

Microcenter has them for 229.99 give or take 10 dollars but in store only http://www.microcenter.com/product/388575/Core_i7_3770K_35GHz_LGA_1155_Processor

The preformance increase won't be that big, intel say 10% increase. I would just but a 3770k now (I'm really happy with mine :D)

Have you already bought the Kingston beast? Its not the best RAM for Video editing in mind because of the cas latency, something like this might be better, Its the same speed, same voltage but lower latencies :D

im ireland probally sould of said that the change rate its shocking to be honest it doesnt match currency change. there €290

i was gonna order it literally just there then i seen the cl was 11 so im looking round see wat i can find
