When I flashed lollipop a few months back I regretted it within a week. Every update since then has either done nothing or made things worse. Today the 5.1 update popped up, can I get a confirmation that its not gonna bug my phone out even more?
5.1 was mainly about fixing bugs and some minor visual tweek. But I had not very much a lot of bug personnaly to begin with
What's your phone?
It should probably be fine, from what I've heard, but I don't have any primary sources.
Do you have a custom recovery?
You could dump a full system backup flash 5.1 see what it is like and if you don't like it reflash your old image.
5.1 was a major improvement on my oneplus one. (I'm running cm 12.1)
Funny this thread should be brought up again. I have recently moved back to kitkat (slimkat) and with the ART runtime enabled found consistently improved battery life and stability over lollipop. Not to mention I think a heavily customized kitkat setup is more visually pleasing than lollipop!
I like that theme. What phone are you using?
fyi, a fix for a fairly persistent (appatently) wakelock bug was pushed recently. This apprently http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/98843/
CM recently fixed the famous wifi and touchscreen bugs on the oneplus one. CM12.1 is more stable then the official cm12s builds.
Using liquid smooth with cm 11 teal, adaptive status/nav bar, Helvetica Neue font and few tweaks here and there to the ui.
Well every time an update is available, I kinda just go with it. Download it and get it over with.
Update, a good load of bugs are fixed on 5.1. Which device are you on?
I did eventually flash stock and update to the latest version. I have since gone back to 4.4.4 liquid smooth with art runtime. Get better standby time and the same screen on time.
