My friend is building an ITX rig and offered to trade his 650ti boost for my 750ti. I'm planning, if I decide to go through with the trade, to buy another one and upgrade to a quad core. Should I do it? Or should I keep the 750ti?
750ti is about 10% faster than a 650 boost, whilst using less power.
Why would you?
I mean they're about the same, but 750ti uses significantly less power, and I think it overclocks much better as well.
Yes, that is true, but two 650ti's in SLI plus a quad core would be a great upgrade from my current system, I think that it is a good decision, but thanks for your input.
Two 650s would certainly be a upgrade yeah.
What quad are you looking at?
probably a 4430, im not looking to OC I just need something better than my current processor which is a pentium g3258.
I play a lot of CSGO and Im barely getting over 150fps , I run at 144hz and need more frames. Do you think I would be able to stream with the future upgrades?
You wont have any benefit going above 144fps on a 144hz monitor, only tearing and frame stuttering.
Yes, but im going to need some extra power to stream at 720p and run the game at above 150fps.
Streaming is 100% CPU dependent unless you're using some fancy built in stuff that doesn't work well.
Shadowplay etc.
Yeah, im losing shadowplay, which I use in tandem with OBS, but its worth for me
