I was wondering...
And what would the build be used for?
1200 build is AMD, like 6350 or 6300
You can get a lot with £1200 (english pounds) but LGA2011 cpu's are £500+
Haswell (1150) or AMD are going to be in your price range
4770K + high-end motherboard would be OK then?
Well it depends entirely what your going to use it for for gameing it's going to be over kill adding a i7 when you need to pump most of your cash in to the video card.
But yes 4770k+a top end mobo is going to be great regardless
A 4770K + the most expensive mobo thus far (Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC Force) only comes up at £674
That leaves 500 for SSD+HDD+PSU+GPU+CASE+RAM+HEATSINK it's going to be a tight fit.

Thanks, but that WAS how I found out about the most expensive motherboard (doesn't even support 1866 memory - and it's a Haswell board!)
GudWithFud- what will this build be used for?
If it's gaming there is no need to get an i7. there is almost no difference in gaming performance i5 vs i7. Or if you do notice the slight difference I'm sure you can agree it's not worth $100 more
Mainly gaming but Word and maybe image editing and I have a Youtube account and so probably video editing for screen recordings!
That mobo supports up to DDR3 3000(O.C.) haswell chips themselves only have DDR3-1600 support but it dosent mean you cant add higher memory with them.

{{Probably also means quite a bit of storage}}
Sorry for being stupid (derp).

This build is going to give you the absolute best performance in games as you'll ever get within your budget. If you want to spend more money for a mechanical hard drive for more space in addition to the ssd, go for the i5 and use the money saved on that (your performance in games won't drop at all, really, and rendering and editing are not that much worse off).
Look for a case that you'll like, as it's a personal preference thing. I recommend the Fractal Arc Midi R2. Sick looking case.
