Currently im able to get a galxy s5 for 200$ or an lg g4 for full price. Which one should i get?
For $200 get a moto G 2015.
i have verizon, and those are the two choices i have
Then I would get a droid turbo or wait for the new nexus device.
LG G4. Expandable storage, removable battery, better screen, better camera, doesn't have TouchWiz. Also much longer bettery
you know, I might be the only one here. But I actually want a Galaxy S6. why? you might ask. Well, I don't need a lot of storage. I offload pictures or downloads to something a bit more reliable (home server), battery is good enough. Most of my time is spent in the office ( I work at a bank ) and the other times I'm away from a charger the phone will last the entire time easily. I am a photographer and I consider myself semi-professional. It may not have the best camera but in the hands of someone who knows a little about what their doing it'll be just fine. There is no cyanogenmod for the S6 yet so it looks like it may never be made for it. either way, you can still gain root and uninstall bloatware apps and simply get another launcher and do general customizations. The late 2014 phones are to me the phones that finally passed that line of "fast enough". I do not play any games on my phone. I simply only take pictures and consume media, car navigation/waze, also bluetooth to my car for my modded pandora app. What mostly attracts me to the S6 is its build. I've had SOOO many phones over the past couple of years. I've switched phones almost every month. I either sell or trade for a different phone via friends or craigeslist. I've had the nexus 5, htc one m7 and m8. I've had an s3 and an s4. I've even had a few nokias. I've basically had them all except for this last batch of phones (G4,S6,M9, etc.). My current phone is a Sony Z3 compact. My personal favorite configuration of a phone is as follows:
nice clicky tactile buttons located on the sides,
headphone jack on the bottom,
idc about speakers,
higher than 1080 screen,
better than average camera,
less than or equal to 5.5" screen,
USB type C,
water proof for IP-67,
dedicated camera button (sony phones)
IR blaster,
The G4 would be perfect but I just don't like the shape of it. it's just slightly too big for my hands. I also don't really care for the buttons on the back. (i have had a g2 and g3).
Sorry about the long post. I'm kinda bored and thought I'd just share my opinion. I can talk a lot more about some more details of my android solutions too. so if anyone has any questions just ask :P
Yeah i got the g3 and see no need to go to g4. But if i had to choose the g4 for sure. I have been so happy with this phone. Never been a fan of lg till i got this phone.
