Should i Get an Pentium Anniversary Edition or stick with my Core i3?

well here are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i3 4330

GPU: Zotac GTX 660

MB: ASUS Maximus VI Impact

RAM: 6gb mix of random

Case: bitfenix prodigy

OS: Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu with Cinnamon

Storage: 120gb samsung 830 and 2X 320gb hatachi hdd

PSU: 430W Crossair

And 4 dell 17 inch 5:4 1280x1024 monitors surrounding a 19inch acer 16:9 1600x900

Do you think i should upgrade to it because of overclocking or just stick with my i3. also i would sell my i3 on here for like $60, anyone interested?

I would probably argue not to upgrade to the Pentium because the i3 has hyperthreading. Plus you'd probably need to buy a cooler for the Pentium.

That said, it's possible the Pentium could be overclocked to really, really high clock speeds, and perhaps it would then beat the i3. It might be worthwhile to wait for some reviews of its overclocking potential.

If you really want to have an overclockable CPU you can tweak and overclock for more performance because you enjoy overclocking, I would switch to the Pentium. I still think it would be a good idea to wait for overclocking reviews.

Stick with the i3. Save for other upgrades, such as a quad core and a better GPU.

I would not recommend getting the Pentium Anniversary Edition for an upgrade, if you want to get it to play with, go for it but its not as powerful as an i3 and not a good idea as an upgrade.

The pentium will be an overclocking monster. Which means you will need to drop 50-100 dollars on a cooling solution to get the most of it. I have no doubt it will be ALOT FASTER in any application that does not use more than 2 threads (most applications), but it comes down to how much money you have burning a hole in your pocket

well i currently am saving up for the ASUS ROG Striker 760, but i feel kida bad that i have a very overclocking focused motherboard with a non overclock-able cpu. if i were to sell my i3 for $60 all i need is like 30 more dollars plus like 50 for a watercooler. i dont have that much money but i kinda wana see how good some of the reviewers are able to overclock it to. if i can get 5GHz+ that would make me happy

Overclocking really depends on the TIM. If it uses the "new" tim in Devils Canyon (the Pentium Chip does not feature the improved power circuitry in DC, but it may include the new TIM) then it will probably be a decent overclocker.

If it works as well as us folks with de-lidded CPU's, you will probably see anywhere between 4.5-5.0GHz, depending on the chip lottery, and how they are binning the chips.
