Should I ditch my grandfatered verizon account for tello?

I have a grandfathered verizon account (unlimited data without throttling) but the price keeps going up and up… now $140/month… thinking of ditching for tello ~$39/month.

What do you guys think?

I can’t fathom using $140 worth of data every month. I’m on Google Fi. It’s 20 + 10/gb. My highest monthly bill ever has been $39. After 10gb, data is free, so in theory the highest bill you can get is $120.

Oh nice! Yea I’m using currently about 20gb/month… most of it is youtube during the day. So if I use wifi instead I could easily cut the amount down.

Do you get throttled?

After 15GB there’s throttling.

Wouldn’t switching to WiFi really help battery life? I’m super curious as to why you’re on LTE when WiFi is available. Is it just to stick it to Verizon?

At work I don’t use the company wifi… .just play youtube all day on my phone.

My commute is about an hour each way as well.

Working from home I’m on wifi all day heh

Yea I think I just need to change my habits and just stream youtube when I’m on wifi only.

Straight Talk has 25 GB for $45/mo on the Verizon network. Maybe check that out?
