Should i buy Starcraft 2? Seems cool the only thing that is a bit scary is that i probably will suck and will loose a lot!
Does that concern you? Are you doing this for the multiplayer only? Because there are free SC2 mods... A lot of them...
EDIT:
Are you Korean?
But is all seriousness don't let being bad at a game dissuade you from playing it. If you think you'll like it and enjoy it then go for it. Always is single player and you'll get better the more you play. Have some confidence man.
Go for it. No need to play multiplayer against other players.
The story is great to begin with. Then you can play against AI of various difficulties or just spent your time in the arcade (which you can visit from the demo, in case you want to take a look).
I highly recommend StarCraft 2, I'm just working my way through Legacy of the Void right now. They are great games, particularly Wings of Liberty. I started like you, not very good at RTS's at all. But the campaigns do a great job at training you by introducing each Unit in a controlled environment and showing you how it can be useful. On easy - normal difficulty the missions are pretty forgiving so you can make mistakes and still make progress. I highly suggest you watch some YouTube videos though about how to do basic macro. This way you develop good habits of using the keyboard and assigning groups to your buildings / units instead of using that mouse. Also using the Shift key to stack commands is an invaluable tool. Learn some of these tricks off the bat and the games will be a breeze for you. As someone who is not a great multitasker, I speak from experience.
The single player story mode is worth it alone. The multiplayer on ladder is HIGHLY competitive but rewarding. The arcade game modes are fun as hell though, especially monobattles.
Yes, it's snazzy.

This is a full re-creation of SC1+BW.
It's very well done.
I agree with everything said here. I think that the story is fantastic. Setting it up to play SC1 and BW isn't difficult at all. I am not one to play multiplayer matches, but it was fun grabbing a bottle of wine and a coffee mug (I know... classy) ,on a Saturday night, and having a few matches against a couple of friends!
May i be the one, to say:
F blizzard in the A. Play the Arcade, it's free, and don't pay a single cent to those f*ckers.
I have huge issue with blizzard, that being milking people for money. So i have personal blacklist on all Blizzard games.
But if you really like StarCraft, try the free Arcade. It only locks the single player from you. All else is available.
@psycho_666 Uh, isn't every company milking their user space for money? What makes blizzard so different? Do you have a personal vendetta?
Blizzard is nothing compared to EA in that aspect.
It's a bit personal opinion, but I see what mean.
Now tell me, how many Starcraft 2 games are there?
How much does blizzard made in the real money auction house In Diablo 3?
How much money are they making from a Wow, teasing making it free to play for the last 2-3 years?
How much is blizzard making from the pay to win card game hearthstone cards?
Now, if it was EA - F EA, they are crap, Bla bla bla... Ubisoft? F Ubisoft... Blizzard - yey, take my money...
No dude, it's just like every other company. How can Bethesda make their money back? How could From Software made their money back? How did other companies made their money without pissing people off?
Yes, I am bitter, because Diablo2 is still in my top5 games of all time, and they f-ed up D3... Because they released 3 Starcraft 2 games, and the game is still not balanced.
Play the free portion. Don't give them a freaking cent.
If I got you right, you are not willing to give money to any company.
Or you are suggesting that Blizzard is no different than any other company, which is the case. There are people working there and one key flaw of humans is to want what they do not have.
Maybe you can go a little more in depth as I seem to have the same hate relationship with EA that you have with Blizzard.
@psycho_666 Holy shit, so much rage!
lol, I really don't see a problem here though, companies make games that people like/want to play, and if they like/want to play it then who's to say otherwise?
I play starcraft 2, got all of them, I love to play them and I know that the game gets (rarely) unbalanced from time to time (thanks david kim) but I really don't care, cause it's just a game and I still enjoy playing it.
I will write an entire discussion topic later on today... It's 3 am and I am off to sleep... Will try to explain myself better in there...
Don't waste your time debating on whether you should give a company money or not. Do what I do, assess a product and if you personally think it's worth the money than buy it, otherwise don't. That's all there is to it. I think each and every Starcraft game is worth the $40 I paid for it, you get a very decent deal by buying all 3 at once now. That's my opinion and I recommend it, but it's still going to be up to you to assess the value. All companies want a profit. I could have personal issues with EA, but I don't bother making a big deal about it I just vote with my wallet. I buy very few EA games (and am still deciding about Battlefront).
For people buying now all 3 parts can be had for like 50-60 dollars. Its well worth it at that price.
ya get it. I have seen the first 2 for $10 usd each
EA is a group of soulless DLC makers who stop a nothing to squeeze every last drop from the consumers wallet... They are corporate vampires head to boot.
