Should I buy Audio-Technica ATH-M50x & Sennheiser Momentum or Sony MDR1A?

I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 Ohm headphones and love them but I need a pair of closed back headphones. I am going to spend 300 so I can get 2 for the price of 1 or should I just get the Sony’s (if they are are really amazing)

not that I know specifically how good any of them are; I can give you advice about headphones in general.

Make sure they are comfortable which means:
They are light (not bulky, and heavy trust me.)
Preferable wireless (though some prefer cable... but then if they are comfortable you may forget about them at all - and get whip lashed.)

This seems like a weird thing to ask on the internet. I guess the only way to find out, is to go out and try them yourself.

I am sure there are a lot stranger questions than the one I asked. I guess no one here owns any of these, probably too expensive for most.

Having not used anything much higher than the m50xs my view and ownership of them is scewed.

I enjoy my pair of m50x's However I do find them to be a bit on the heavy side and not the most comfortable. The default cups make then sound bassy and block evertything from the outside world. Including myself. I Personally Got a pair of velour afterarket cups to allow me to hear myself when I talk over a mic. This allieviates a lot of the bas but it's not lost at all and a simple EQ fixes everyting. Not to say the cup were bad, I just had no need for them. But they do what they're supposed to do, Block sound and they do that well.

I will say that they are quite flat sounding and they're a good refference, They don't have much personality.

I bought them over other closed back headphones because I make use of the detachable cables. I have the 3m cable permanently i place at my desk for when I'm listening to music or gaming. And then I un plug them and take them on the go and use the other cables
