Should I buy a Nexus 5?

I am switching from Verizon to T-Mobile in about 2 weeks once my contract ends. Since I cannot use my current Verizon phone on the T-Mobile network, I need to buy a new phone. I have been seriously looking at the Nexus 5. I can get it from google for $350. The specs seem fantastic, especially for that price. My question to you all is, do you think this phone is the best T-Mobile compatible android smartphone in the $300-$400 price range? My budget is $400 max including any tax and shipping. Thanks for any input. I'm not a phone guy at all.

The nexus is perfect. Using it right now to send this message. It has around 4hours of on screen time and almost always lasts me all day. Its really fast too. Its also hard to not recommend a phone with $600 phone specs for $400. If your budget goes lower, the next best thing is the moto g.

Trust me, it might seem a bit expensive at first, but this phone, to me, is really worth it, and most other people will say the same.

yep, its  a great phone and when you add the price to that factor it just shows how boss it is

you wont regret it

Yes.

Yes, go for it.

My colleague has one, and if my old Samsung Galaxy Nexus should "suddenly & unexpected" die. The Nexus5 will be my first choice. I would go for the 32GB version if possible.

As everyone else has stated, yes.  I have it and love it.

Just went to the T mobile site and you can get the nexus 5 for free there.  I have the Note 3 and love it.  I would consider waiting to see if the next Galaxy is a big step up.

I have the HTC M7/One and if I had known that the Nexus 5 was going to be released a few months after I got this phone, I would have gotten it in a heart beat. Though, I am very happy with the M7's beautiful build quality, the Nexus 5 does rival it in build quality and also beats it out feature and performance wise too.

Yes. Just as good as the galaxy s4 in every category other than storage and battery life. Considering its under half the price, its a phenomenal value.

best bang for your buck. im buying a second one for my girlfriend.

If you like a slick fast phone with a clean interface without clutter, then that's your baby :P

Any Nexus device will really make your life more enjoyable because you wont have to worry about carrier apps and other bloatware that will er..bloat your phone. If you enjoy Android and have yet made the jump to stock android then hop on it. There are good reasons why people love to see Google Play Editions of their favorite handset

Do it. It's a great phone.
