Godzilla first appeared in B+W TV. When I was a little kid I remember watching him in color. Now at 54 there is a new Godzilla movie coming out. Should there be a mandatory retirement age for Tokyo-phobic giant lizards who make it big in Hollywood?
Is it just me or is ol' Godzilla getting a beer belly?
This just goes to show that Godzilla movies need to be made in Japan by Japanese film makers. Thanks for sharing this, did not know that it was a thing.
I think it would be cool if there was some sort of spiritual successor to godzilla, like same idea only with a new monster. I'm pretty sure we all know that's never happening though, since that isn't something they could use as a shameless cash grab :)
The English trailer is trash the Japanese one shows whats it about much more better. Its more like the western Godzilla movies by focusing on the humans more but this movie aims to be Japanese first grounded Godzilla which is what I expect from Anno Who I been wanting to do a godzilla movie for years so yeah Japan has given my dream godzilla movie.
Also the been a few Godzilla over the years from godzilla sons to reboots from both Japan and the USA, So I disgree they should be no retirement age for Tokyo-phobic giant lizards, Just reboot for what is needed for the current age which is what this movie does.
ALSO FUNI WHAT ARE YOU DOING I LOVE YOUR DUBS BUT YOUR AWFUL AT TRAILERS UNLESS YOUR SELLING DBZ
There was Cloverfield. After we stopped testing nukes aboveground they had to have a monster come from outer space. That's a shame. Everytime I watch nuke test videos on youtube I think they would look sooo cool in 4K. Ah the good ole days:) Babylon 5 was also inspired by Japanese TV as I remember. After WW2 Japan was very anti-war (natural) but Hollywood had all these money-making war movies. How do you make a war movie with explosions and destruction and gunfire without war? Big Lizard!:) Gotta love it!
