It's time to gripe and moan!
Seriously, though, I love what I've managed to do in a much smaller space than I used to have. I downgraded to let everyone else upgrade, it's fine.
What's changed since last time?
My desk, my position in the living room, some peripherals, lots of nerdy toys, etc. A lot. There are really too many small things to really talk about. :P
The desk is an Atlantic Gaming Desk. You'd think they'd name things well when they put so much effort into designing them. Not so, apparently. It's fucking amazing. If you have a small space I 100% recommend this product. It's around $100 and I think that's pretty fair. It's also a great deal sturdier than it looks.
I think it's intended for console gamers with a laptop, but it works just as well for me with my desktop. I have the tower down on the right as you can see -- a little lidded HDX chrome trashcan is hiding between it and my chair. I wish the desk had a mount for it. That's about my only lacking feature.
Underneath the monitor is a power supply basket that in combination with velcro ties I've used to cable manage 90% of everything nice and tight. It, and the headset hook on the right, are the only desk features you don't see.
As you can see, the desk has a game rack and controller rack on the rear right, by my Nessie, speaker stands on the rear corners (we'll get to those in a minute) and a charging stand on the rear left. This stand is why I asked @Logan for insane 10 port powered hubs from Epic Pants. I was going to just buy a cheapo but then asked, and suddenly, I get a response. :) That was cool. The brick I'm currently using is a half-broken cheapo two porter that's hooked up to the power strip directly (under the monitor.
On the right, the green cable you can see goes to my headphones, the Razer Adagos that I love so much. It's tied down where it is to keep it next to the right hand speaker which has a convenient 3.5mm port. Or the Nessie, if I want to monitor myself when recording or voice chatting.
Behind the monitor, as I said, I have my speakers. They're a simple 2.0 set, from Blackweb, which is a new (and surprisingly good) Wal-Mart brand.

So, why are they not on the outside stands so as not to have the monitor causing some small distortion?
The cord is too fucking short between them. I'll address this in a bit (again, yes).
Annoyances.
Single monitor. (We''ll get back to this).
Wired controller is a bitch to keep neat.
Not enough charging ports (already talked about this).
Plastic dome keys. Ugh.
Drink holder is a little loose. Fixed that already with a couple zip ties.
The drawer in the front was fond of falling out and dumping my ashtray in my lap when I opened it. Fixed that already with a pair of short screws.
Speaker cord. (No, not yet.)
Plans! (Real ones, not wishes or dreams :P )
First, and most importantly, a clamp-base monitor arm (curved) so I can go back to three monitors. Fuck is a single screen annoying.
That usb hub I hope Epic Pants will have soon, so I can put my vape charger into the charging stand.
1' of speaker wire + wire caps. At least this one's a simple fix, but a replaceable cable would've been nice.
A wireless 360 or XB1 pad. Probably try to integrate the charger into the controller rack on the desk.
So, that's it for today's setup post. I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts.
