Set Window Location? - Java

Just wondering if there is a way to set a window’s location on the screen in Java.
I know there’s code to set the size of the window, but location on the screen would be great.

I think you’d need to tell us what window toolkit you’re using.

And since I was just reading some developer complaining about it: You cannot position a window on Linux Wayland. It isn’t allowed, on purpose.

I don’t have one. I’m just wondering off the top of my head at the moment.
I mean I’m looking at my Java book, but still.

You are probably either using javafx or swing. “I dont have one” is likely wrong.

Unless you want to set the possition of any arbitrary window on your screen and not the position of the application window you made in java. But then it would be probably very platform dependent (as in Linux or Windows etc).

  1. Go to Start > Settings > Privacy > Location.
  2. Under Default location, select Set default.
  3. The Windows Maps app will open. Follow the instructions to change your default location.
