Hello you beautifull people, im looking for a new headset, after some research I can’t decide between the Sennheiser HD 558 or AUD ATHAD500X, both at the same price range right now , id like your opinion on witch one to buy ( sogestions for another headdphone welcome :)) Cheers!

I had hd 558s before. They favor the lower end of the sound spectrum while still having that open airy treble as open headsets do. Be warned, they are louder to the people around you than they are to you they aren't open they are like... Backwards megaphones, anyways, they are nice but not for me, maybe you will like them. I now have a pair of DT 880s I picked up used for $160 and I love them, sound reproduction was next to perfect without eq and took very little eq to get just right. They are a bit more analytical than hd 558s and have a very mild V shape
I always warn people about having open headphones...
the use case for open backed headphones is mainly for a very flat response used for audio production and such. you can get very flat sounding closed ears, which will be almost 100% silent to those arround you.
If you dont need quiet, why not go with some smaller studio monitors?
