Senate vote to prevent further US spying just failed

The changes will allow judges to issue warrants in cases when a suspect uses anonymizing technology to conceal the location of his or her computer

In an effort to address concerns, U.S. Assistant Attorney General Leslie Caldwell wrote a blog post this week arguing that the benefits given to authorities from the rule changes outweighed any potential for "unintended harm."

Interesting language he uses to make it seem as though he's telling the truth... "unintended harm" as opposed to intended (but he's not willing to talk about that of course :P )

It's a real shame this is the world we live in... we live in a glass house with a blindfold being told everything is ok, the ones who have the ability to see through the blindfold are metaphorically burned at the stake.
