Sell Asus Tf300t and buy new Nexus 7?

So currently I have an Asus TF300t 10.1inch tablet. It is a nice tablet, but I am selling the keyboard too it because I don't use it often.

I was wondering, should I sell my tablet and buy the smaller but faster Nexus 7 2nd gen?

Here is a list of pros and cons I made to help me decide.

PROS:

-Smaller, can fit in pocket

-A lot faster with 2gb ram and snapdragon 1.5ghz

-Straight from google updates

-Seemingly better for half the price (So if i sell my tablet, I can get the better tablet and get 100 bucks out of it)

CONS:

-Hassle selling it on Ebay(Unless someone knows a site where I can get a fair price to sell it)

-Mom might be insulted(I am a teen in high school, and this was a birthday gift from my mom)

-Smaller

-Twin brother has old nexus and will be "Jealous and copying me"

So, so far it seems like family problems since the new nexus seems like the go to tablet. So I guess the question really is how should I deal with the hassle of selling it and asking my mom if it is okay?

The more I think about it them more I see the Nexus 7 as the perfect tablet. I have a current gen Nexus 7 and I am kind of debating trying to sell it and pick up this gen 2 version, but in general the size is really a sweet spot. I would say at this point the hardware is kind of at a level in which it's irrelevant, as it already good enough for most tasks (this is referring to the s4 pro) and the 7" size is really the sweet spot. Fits nicley in a pocket in a pinch, but provides enough screen real estate. Also worse comes to worse your tablet becomes the ultimate e-reader.

Yeah I never really use my TF300t anymore except for a dedicated netflix machine. I just don't want my family to get mad for selling it after a few months of having it.
