Seeking the right ups for my freenas build

so i'm still up with a nagging itch going on in my head about what ups model to get for my server build....still have some time as the drives are backordered...

obviously apc has a decent reputation but they are quite pricey when new so i've given some thought into getting the CyberPower PFC Sinewave Series CP1500PFCLCD as i've had another cyberpower unit for years without any hiccups besides the random transformer noise

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00429N19W

but like a dolt with bad timing i missed the amazon lightning sale that took off $50......its been @ full price ever since :(

there are plenty of other units out there for way less, but i like to see something with a lcd readout

i'm going for a large capacity/overklll ups even though my planned psu will be in the 500-850 range *depending on whether or not i keep the aging corsair or grab a oem seasonic thats pretty cheap on ebay....or go for the evga 750 b2 deal for $33 after rebate*

anyways back to my inquiry......would it be a better idea to stick with a standard ups or get a server grade ups such as the APC Smart-UPS SMT1500?

i'm thinking to keep the costs low get a unit off ebay without batteries or go for a newer one.......not really sure

I have the cyberpower one and it's pretty good.

new one like the link or a older model?

That's the one I have

Cyberpower, Trip Lite, and APC are all good brands and I have used them all for mission critical equipment. I do recommend buying new though you don't know how much usage an old battery has had.

ended up getting the eaton as it supports NUT *http://tinyurl.com/q8pm92a*

as i went for an overkill evga 850w g2 psu

still would've wished i grabbed the amazon deal even tho tax would've soured the price
