Hey guys. I have come across an issue that I can't seem to solve. I have an ssd and an hdd. My hdd is my secondary storage. Every now and then it disappears while in Windows 7. It'll even disappear while writing to it. It doesn't happen often, but enough to be annoying. I have configured it to stay always on and recconected the sata ports, but it hasn't helped. Any ideas?
Is it on a mount point or did you assign a drive letter to it? I set up a second drive on my brothers pc as a mount point and sometimes it won't show up on the windows share so I type the location in the address bar to access it.
Hello,
Was going to post about this same issue..i have returned the hdd thinking it was defective but that wasn't the case..idk , the problem may be with windows. I may try connecting to another sata port (i would have done this already but was afraid it would wipe my drive) I have had simular issues in the past on older builds too where my secondary loses its data or dissapears completely from windows.

moving the drive to another SATA port will not wipe the drive
I will try another sata port. It has been assigned a letter
