Second opinion on new gaming rig

Hey guys

So Iam finally going to upgrade from my 4 year old PC and this seemed like a good place to get a second opinion.

Budget: ~1000 USD. (PSU, Case, HDD, SSD excluded)

Im not really playing that many demanding games but I would like to be able to play BF3 at high settings with 50+fps and have some possibility of upgrading my system in the future.

So I was thinking of keeping my old Case, PSU(600W) and HDD and getting the following components:

CPU: Intel i5 3570k

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V

Memory: 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 PC-12800 1600MHz CL9

GPU: MSI Radeon HD7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC

Heatsink: Noctua NH-U12P SE2

I was thinking of overclocking the CPU to 4,5GHz, I know its an Ivy Bridge but do you think I will be able to reach  4,5GHz with the NH-U12P and not get to high temperatures?

Im also looking at getting the Crucial 128GB m4 2.5-inch SSD next month as a boot drive.

Would love some feedback.

HA

anyway you said 1000 USD so america/canada right, cool, that means I can use the egg

CPU/HeatSink

GPU

Mobo

Ram

optional PSU

sorry I usaully do but something came up as soon as I found the parts, and in my haste I paste the wrong CPU/heatsink link, the mobo was fine, I just have personal preferance and I've heard good things with gigabyte and ivy OC it also has 2 more USB 3.0 ports and the 2 2.0 ports double as esata, mine also has a Msata port on it, althought the asus one does look cool, the heatsink is one of the best for air, just ask vortex88, the ram is hella faster, 2133 with slightly higher cas than yours, and the gpu is MUCH stronger

I don't understand...You have $1000 to spend and that's all you're getting? You should be able to get a much better video card. This is what I would get:

i5 2500K

ASUS P8Z77-V Pro

Mushkin Enhanced Redline 1600mhz CL7

Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 OC

Cooler Master V6 GT

You can overclock the 2500K to be stronger than the i5 you posted. The motherboard is in the same series; it just has more features, and it's probably better for overclocking too. The ram is the same frequency, but it has lower latency which will allow it to perform better. The video card is obviously vastly superior. I'm not sure how well that Noctua heatsink performs, but I know the V6 GT is within a few degrees of the Noctua NH-D14.

I could be wrong, but I've heard (only from one source though) that lower cas latency is more improtant for gaming than raw clock speed.

no taxes on newegg, but which country do you live in, I made one for this dude in the netherlands and there are people all over the world here

Wouldn't that mean you have a budget of $800 before taxes?
