I’ve been looking around for the past few hours and can’t seem to locate any reasonably priced bare motherboards or 1U/2U barebone servers.
Given the abandonment of Intel on the Xeon Phi project the CPU’s are cheap as chips but motherboards appear to be scarce. The Supermicro MBD-K1SPE -B is exactly what I’m after but the board is apparently only available when bought with a server and eBay doesn’t show any availability.
I don’t have any planned need for a system like this but I’d like to play with the LGA3647 platform and if I can find a compatible motherboard or barebones server for the right price that would be fantastic.
