The version of screenFetch in the Debian repository, 3.6.5 has issues detecting the GTK theme, icon theme, and font, and just for sanity's sake I want to get it updated to 3.7 so that those fields show up. Do I just need to download it from GitHub or can I force it to update?
Since it's just a shell script, either a github pull or a forced update would do the trick, all things considered. If you want to be able to directly replace your existing version and uninstall with your package manager later, I'd go the update route and grab the Stretch version of the .deb from here: https://packages.debian.org/stretch/all/screenfetch/download
I got it all figured out, I actually posted in the LTT forums as well and I got an answer there. It wasn't all that difficult, I'm just not used to Debian.
