Screen upgrade advice

Hi all,

I brought my first pricey laptop recently from eBay, relatively happy with it. ASUS FX502VM.

First, the seller said it was an IPS display and the classic “only used 4 times for Netflix”. SMART says the HDD has been powered for 500 hours, and the screen is stock so a TN. Its still less than 30 days since I ordered it so sending it back is a consumer right and an option due to miss selling (imo). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112535150257
I’m tempted to return, the screen issue plus the CPU (6300HQ) is usable but due to the clock is hitting 90/100% when gaming. Okay for todays games, just. But wont last, and un replaceable. Amazed how regulated Intels lineup is, 2.3GHz locked is just stupid! (I come from AMD)

I could replace the screen. I found this list of screens http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/fx502vm-screen-replacement.803958/

What am I looking at/for?
I like the idea of good contrast, viewing angle, brightness and colour. But I have no idea what 94% colour means, what response time is acceptable, whats a good brand. All I see is numbers and letters, jibberish to me.

Would love some advice, money is no issue as they all look around £50.

Thanks

Send it back, to get out of the TN swamp.
Do it.
