Screen replacement of a Lenovo T560

My Lenovo T560 laptop has a broken FHD touch screen. As I don’t need the touch functionality, I thought about replacing the display with a no-touch FHD.

But the touch screen uses a 40 pin eDP connector and the no-touch uses a 30 pin eDP connector.

The touch screen is too expensive and the 30 pin no touch is affordable

Is it possible to use a no touch 30pin on my laptop?

Thanks!

No, not without an adapter or a new cable.
40 pin edp is backwards compatible with 30 pin using a 40 to 30 pin adapter, but they’re about as much as buying a 30 pin cable.

You could buy the 30 pin cable for the non touch sku of the t560 and a 30pin screen but its probably just as expensive as buying the 40pin panel

thank you!
