I recently got a Lenovo Thinkpad SL410 for extremely cheap off eBay. It's my dedicated Linux work laptop. I love the machine, and I really like (older) Thinkpads, however the screen is beyond average, in fact, it's terrible. I am used to the very nicely calibrated screen on my MacBook, and while I never expected this screen to be fantastic, the colors are absolutely awful.
In both Windows and OS X there are easily accessible color calibration options and profiles. Unfortunately, Linux doesn't seem to have similar options, from what I can tell. When I go to sys settings > color > add profile, nothing happens. It also states that my screen is uncalibrated. I really want to just reduce the washed out nature of the screen, if at all possible... Any suggestions for color calibration in Linux? I am running Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon.
