Scare me

Bassically I started to play horror games for youtube, a huge change from my minecraft/tutorial lifestyle but i kinda like it. Basically post any games of any kind and i'll give then a try (if I have time depending on how many lol). Just think of the best ones you can. I've already got games like fear 3, slender:the arival, gmod slender, neverending nightmares

Found this game called blackbay asylum that looks promising!

Hello Kitty Cutie World.

wait PT isnt avaiable? do you know why not? And thanks for the list!

"Because the distribution period has expired." P.T. was a preview of the new Silent Hill. But konami stated that the game "will not be continued."

Konami canceled the project (Silent Hills) and purged all existence of PT and its creator Hideo Kojima who had just left the company.

One word: Nvidia

The Dead Space series is pretty good and makes for good entertainment.

Really? I never found Dead Space or Five Nights very scary at all. Just goofy. Personal opinion I guess.

Well I did play the first dead space when i was like 14 or 15 so that might be why.

I'd recommend Silent Hill 2. The best game of the series by far. Quite scary and depressing.

"It's a fascinating voyage of pain and despair that leaves you emotionally drained and satisfied, like fucking a burning dolphin."- Yahtzee on Silent Hill 2

5 Nights at Freddy's is just jump scares and poor game mechanics... and Dead Space gave me a splitting headache after about 10 minutes, even in windowed mode. So I guess that's kind of scary lol. I definitely didn't want to play it anymore.

This. It can startle but doesn't horrify. I agree about the poor game mechanics too. Stupid as hell. Why does a door need power to stay closed? Fuck gravity being weak.
I find Dead Space has the same problem. Especially the later ones. More of just action games/shooters that have a lot of blood and gore.

Alone In The Dark

Alien: Isolation and Amnesia: The Dark Descent are good ones. Outlast was decent.

An oldie but goodie is Clive Barker's Undying. More of a first person action horror game, but it has a good story and plenty of atmosphere.

I watched Jesse Cox play White Night on his Greenlight series. It was more spooky and ominous than flat out scary, but the black/white art style, cult themes, and the reliance on match light makes for some eerie gameplay
