My notebook BIOS is locked to RAID mode on the SATA controller so I'm wondering if I'll get the same performance for my SSD even in RAID mode. I've read on the internet that AHCI is included in the RAID mode and, taking a look at the system registry right now AHCI seems to be working. Do you guys have any data and/or personal experience about it? Thanks!
Only thing real difference is a change in feature set (depending on chipset), outside of that there shouldn't be any difference in performance.
It's an HM77 chipset.

Right now I'm still unfortunately using a 5400 RPM SATA II drive (came with the notebook) and it's giving me in Crystal Disk Mark about 92 MB/s on both read and writes, so I guess I'm not and I will not loose any performance, right?
