SAS VS Native SATA Ports

I have a general question about SAS cards. Would i bee losing any performance if i used a SAS PCIE card compared to on board SATA ports on my motherboard?

No. PCIe is much faster and lower latency than SATA. I guess you can find bad ones of anything but in general … no.

You won’t lose performance in any way. SAS cards support the same datarates as SATA and latency is the same.
