Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 vs 7850

So, yeah. I'm trying to build a PC on a Asus M5A99X EVO with AMD FX-8350 and I was looking at these two Sapphires and can't decide. Do you have any personal preferences between these two? Do you think there are better graphic cards that can give me more power for approximately the same amount of money?

Note: I wouldn't go wild with overclocking, and my budget is already stretched.

What prices have you found on the 7870? The R9 270/x  is best price/performance right now. Depending on your budget though you might not have the option?

Here are some good prices on R9 270's/x:

Cheers!

I got the Gigabyte 7870 Windforce, hell of a card for the money. Probably best buy price/performance. 3X coolers,I max out almost every game out there, well, except crysis, nothing runs crysis at 60fps with everything maxed out.I get 60+ fps on a 64player map in battlefield 3 with everything maxed out and I've never seen it reach 70 degrees C in a warm room with a closed case. If your budget is really that tight, get the 7850,it's still a damn good card. and you can crossfire later on since it's damn cheap.

I can get it (7870 Sapphire) for 260 USD (It took me a while to convert it), and I can't find the MSI in my country
What can you tell me about the MSI?

Yeah, I've chouse the motherboard just for the Crossfire.
Now I'm in a war between Gigabyte and Sapphire.

Thanks for sharing the experience

I believe both are good companies, so going for either won't be a wrong choice.
