This just popped up on a facebook link from OverClockersUK. A Sapphire 290x with 8Gb or vRAM and one of the best looking coolers I have ever seen.
They have extended the PCB and left the copper exposed then mounted a small heat sink to the layer and the back plate looks great with cut outs for more heat sinks. Looks like this thing will either run cooler or support a better overclock depending on what you want to do with it.
The stock clock is 1060 but I gather it is aimed at CorssFire with that 8Gb of ram and with more and more games eating up ram with high res textures this could be really good. And 4k of course.
Still though... That backplate...
