Hey guys,
So I will be away from my main rig for a week since I am going to my hometown for visiting family.
The question is I have my old Samsung R780 laptop. I just upgraded it to windows 10. The specs are as followed: 1600by900 resolution, i5 430m, 4GB DDR3, GT 330M, 500GB internal HDD. So I will be using this along with an external HDMI TV or monitor at my parents place. It can run PCSX2 and DS emulators (which I play time to time) and thought it takes long, I can run simulations and other hpc computing on the i5. So I have origin and steam installed on it but haven’t downloaded any of my games as well.
The games I own:
-BF3
-BF4
-BFBC2
-Dragon Age Inquisition
-Shadow of Mordor
-GTA V
-Borderlands 2 and the pre sequel
-MGSV
-etc.
So can I run any of the newer games atleast on low to medium settings? I am planning to be gaming a bit as well and I am wondering which games would actually run on it?
I have seen people run Metro Last Light, GTA V on it, depending on optimizations. BF3, BFBC2 and BF4 work. But I am wondering if I can at least run the game on playable frames at low? Otherwise it will be rocket league for me only

You might be able to run something like tf2 or cs go on low.
Borderlands 2 and BFBC2 on ultra low might run, but you are pushing your luck. Everything probably will not even run because they require directx 11 and you only have directx 10.
The 330m is worse than modern integrated graphics. I'd say most of those games are a no go.
Yeah borderlands 2 actually runs fine on low-mid. BFBC2 runs fine on high .

I know bf4 and bf3 run fine, can even play mp. I am pretty sure I can run rocket league. I am not expecting to run all games I just need some games to play in the down time tbh. I got witcher 1/2/3 so I can probably run the first 2.
Also fallout 4 can run on sub 1gb vram?
EDIT: I can run Far Cry 3 fine, maybe I can try Far Cry 4 <3
I mean if all these games have dx10 and dx9 options, then you are probably fine.
yeah so borderlands 2, gta V, witcher 1/2 and bf3 are running above the playable 30 fps on medium....so if i go mixed medium/low i can break the 60fps threshold
I ran inquisition and it was getting only around 27 fps but the settings were set to automatic as well. Idk even if the card is shit, I can seem to push out some decent frames. Interesting...
Alright. Well then the Nvidia page is lying because you HAVE to have DX11 to play those games and it says the GT330 is only capable of dx10 soooooooooo idk what is going on.
Well GTA V was running in Dx10 mode.
