So a few years back, some of my clan members and I started a policy shift through one of our politician friends (amazing, even some politicians are human) to get an R18 rating implemented in Australia after Left4Dead 2 and some other titles were classified as not suitable for our then highest crappy 15+ rating.
Long story short, we succeeded in getting the R18 rating and thought woohoo, now we can finally get proper games instead of this archaic Victorian restricted bullshit that gets allowed into the country.
Man was I wrong, here we have Saints Row IV, a sequel to the previous 3 games and I, an old man with slightly psychopathic tendencies, am "protected" from this awful filth and therefore need to get a clean version of the game.
So here's my question, short of piracy, are there any loopholes to get this game in our country (read: the next Chinese nanny dictatorship).
I've considered buying a Steam key through my US account but I figure, it's just going to download the Australian version as soon as I connect from here.
I'll also be spending 2 months in the US in a couple of weeks time. If I download it there and then bring my laptop home, will it get replaced by the crappy suck version?
In short, I'm not asking you to provide me any information on how to break the law, that would be wrong, we have PM for that (wink). I'm asking if there is a way around it that is not-illegal, like a loophole, or a medical reason, or a prescription that calms my demons. Can I get a note from my Doctor saying that I can have it because it has known medical benefits which stops me yelling at the kids in the neighbourhood that this is all their fault?
