hi, i would like to know. if anyone knows what are the safe temps for the fx-8350. because when i render out a 20 minute game play. the temps go as high as 56c on the plate and 44c on the core . and the cpu cooler i'm use in the hyper 212 evo.
Anything below 60C is safe
It's just about to hit 60
Well as long as it doesn't pass 60C for an extended amount of time you will be fine
Great my cpu may blow up lol
No, the problem is that heat wears the silicon down, you want to try to keep it as low as possible. AMD states that the maximum "safe" temperature is 60C, you can probably let it go a tiny bit higher than 60C for a short amount of time but I don't recommend it. If it keeps being a problem might want to consider undervolting your CPU. Also it should not be getting that hot on a hyper 212 evo, check and make sure the cooler is mounted correctly and tightened down
What do you think a good under volt would be. Also is that 60 on the plate or the core?
It's on there tightly. But when I get a minute I will take it out and check
A good voltage would be to take the clock speed you have now and slowly turn the core voltage (turn down the voltage a little and run a stress test, repeat) until you find the lowest voltage that your CPU is stable at
62 to be specific, the silicon can go to 70 degrees and be safe. They underrate it for warranty purposes!
