So how do I squeeze everything out of it?
I only applied xmp to get the ram to 3000 MHz and activated gaming mode in Ryzen master. The cpu sometimes goes on it’s own to 3.86 MHz but no higher. What would be fastest safe settings right there ? 3.9 or 4?
I have trouble with the manual timing, it’s default to 3000mhz 20-20-20-38 in Asrock bios at 1.35v but Corsair site says the tested it’s 16-18-18-36. Unsure if lower timings are better for performance or not.
Other bios settings I should use to unleash the beast?
I have trouble finding the fields that accept the timings 16-18-18-36. Are they the ones in the screenshot below starting with the cas latency, in the same order? It’s a screenshot found online, not of my Mobo, but it has the same layout.
Being at the bleading edge is honestly not worth it for long term use. Just bump it as high as you are able to turn it (both clock and ram speed) then back off a little and call it a day.
So for ram Should I input those timings in the exact order? If I start from below the CL and work my way down?
I’ve done that and Cinebench crashes halfway into the benchmark, not sure if I am doing something wrong.
