I saw that.

Just have heard despite VT-d support some people have had problems related to BIOS support and passthrough.

I have good news to report though.

Testing passthrough of Intel 4-port NIC to pfSense VM on existing hardware: works.

Relevant specs:
Motherboard: Supermicro X11SSH-LN4F
CPU: Xeon E3-1230 v5
Hypervisor: KVM (Proxmox)

I’d be surprised if a SuperMicro board had problems - of any sort. They make server boards which usually have a good reputation. I personally run a SuperMicro board for my workstation I’m replying from now.
