I have an APU machine running the Ryzen 2400G on a Gigabyte B350 board. I am considering a CPU upgrade, and of course the 4750G comes to mind. But I can’t seem to find any information about compatibility.
Could somone point me to any compatibility documentation?
Is there a specific version of AGESA I should look for?
If the B350 can’t support a 4000 series APU, is my only option the 3400G?
I have checked the site (linked in my OP). The official list doesn’t mention the 4000 series, it’s OEM only after all. Thanks for suggesting emailing the manufacturer, I hadn’t considered that.
Since the 3rd gen XT CPUs are supported, the 4750G could probably work too. For that, you need AGESA 1.0.0.1 and the newest BIOS for your board comes with version 1.0.0.6.
Thanks a lot @eray! I’ll try to get a confirmation from Gigabyte before I purchase the CPU, or try to budget for a motherboard upgrade just in case this goes wrong
