I need to safe time while updating various websites. I am wondering if anyone here can advice me on using multiple instances simultaneously of an ftp program like Cute FTP ?

Without experience with cute FTP directly it's hard to say, but it should be as easy as opening one instance, and the simply launching another. You may have to use to old Administrator user trick by right clicking then 'Open as Administrator'. Unless there's a preventative measure built into the code, this should work as it does on other clients like FileZilla.
