Running outta juice!

soooo- I recently started experiencing random restarts after OC'ing my graphics cards when I hit 100% load, not blue screens, or graphical freezing, but the computer actually just shutting down, and restarting.

I've tracked it back to the PSU, this is solid, I know that its the PSU, if i remove the OC and downclock my CPU to 4GHZ, the blackscreens stop. however- I'm getting ready to add more ram, and upgrade my mobo and CPU to an even more power thirsty CPU in Q1 2014, my question is-

If I get another PSU, from the same manufacturer (seasonic) and the same product line (X series) but a higher wattage- can I just plug the existing cables into the new PSU? or am I gonna have to remove all my carefully organized cables?

Sounds like a question for seasonic thay will be able to tell you if the modular cables are the same...thay more than likely are but you never know if seasonic use higher gage/amp copper wireing in there higher wattage psu's.

Just shoot them a email.

I think you should be fine? Pretty sure most modular cables are interchangeable.  I went from an OCZ 750W 80+Bronze to a OCZ 1000W 80+ Gold and just used the same cables... I haven't had any issues? Yet? XD
