Why do people say runescape sucks, it really doesn't if you get used to it though. Theres tons of hours of game play, but getting good at it is relativily hard. Runescape is hell fun if you are really into it. The downside, and i can see why people hate it, is for more features you have to pay a subscription fee. But otherwise its a great game and i still play it now and then but im not as intently into it as i used to be. Anf for people who say it has terrible graphics think about this, they are just a group of people in England who are making a game with no other corprate backing. WOW and GW have great graphics but are made by companies and take up space on your drives.
I used to play RuneScape and eventually just got tired of it. I didn't like it at all. Plus, ya know, the graphics are shit. If I'm going to play something for hours on end, I'd at least like what I'm looking at
And I'm sorry. WoW? Great graphics? I think not. Guild Wars, though, is absolutely beautiful (except the freakin sky, ugh). But I could never get by playing WoW. Like ever.
I think runescape was a great game. Â It was almost impossible to do and have everything, Â I'd say weeks of gameplay. Â The member benefits were well worth it for only 5 dollars a month. Â And the game had a great economy. Â I did grow out of it tho and moved on to bigger and better things, and now it'll never be the same because of the massive update about a year ago.
Runescape, lets face it the game is crap compared to othergames, but tbh its not really far to compare them. Runescape as a FREE game is quite good, its just id prefer to pay for the extra quality
WoW has quite good graphics, the graphics are supposed to be that way as it matches the whole fantasy-genre best. At first, i personally thought the WoW graphics were shite, but after playing it you grow used to them and realise that the graphics really do suit the type of game it is.
As for RS - Was good when I was like 12, but now i cannot get into it, I tried about 2 years ago and just found myself bored as shit. But RS as a whole is alright, it has lots of different things to do, if they just up the graphics i can imagine it will attract a lot of people.
I was once a member in runscape and reached lvl 79.
The thing that strikes me as the coolest thing in Runescape is the way the prices of items change due to availability and demand.
But once you stop playing the game you will definitely regret ever playing it.
I now hate playing it but understand the drive some people have for it due to it brilliant structure.
Why would i defiantly regret playing it? Lol. to be defiant, means to refuse.
I think you meant definitely. :P
Yeh, i used to play too, for about a year, reached lvl 91.
Eventually just stopped myself playing it, i was addicted. But now, i couldnt go back, its just too different, and now is not a time to get addicted to anything, until the 10th of November :D!
But yes, it was an exetremely well structured game.
What happens on the 10th of november?
I use to play Runescape alot but not for the actual game, i played mostly to meet people. I played 6 years and now i feel it was a wast of my life. I did enjoy playing very much but after 6 years it got boring. Now img stuck with a lvl 85 that im trying to sale for some cash.
Runescape could have been good, if there was no Wilderness and you could kill anyone where ever the fuck you feel like it. With consequences of course. Also, if the combat wasn't just --> attack and eat the freaking fish you have in your backpack and see who lasts longer.
Add PK'ing, housing, good combat, more skills and you have a wanna be UO.
I think they were trying to be like UO, but just slaughtered it.
Yeah, it failed right with the reborn Trammel/Felluca. (Wilderness/none wilderness). And with a shitload of other stuff too, but that is the biggest fail to me.
meh... house consept sounds cool, but chances are no one uses them, can anyone that plays tell me, cause now im curious... and i wish there were houses / castles in other MMO's like WoW and stuff....
The thing is, if implemented right, it can be a really nice addition.
UO had it right...I just can't see UO without housing. They were not just decoration, they were NEEDED. You could put vendors (you would put stuff in them with a price, and people would buy your stuff)...it was hella useful for storage. When you are a PK, you need a safe house to have all your reagents (materials to cast spells, brew potions, etc), bandages, potion kegs, weapons, etc. because you just had almost no chance of reaching a bank alive. People would macro in there too, or get their short terms down.
If it's only implemented as a decoration and a gimmick to show you are a trammy, well it's just retarded.
I think the new updates to the game made it better
Runescape
I made an account
I created a character
I started the tutorial island
I fell asleep
I quit
Ok Runescape was one of the first games i played because when i was little, my dads computer was absolutly shit so it was the only game i could play.
