Right, I know. Impress me with some work done on such two GPUs.
If you know, then I shouldn’t have to.
Both the nvidia and pny versions are listed for sale with shipping in 2 to 4 days. At proshop, one of the Nvidia FE sellers in the north of Europe
Did you take delivery of one? We need the benchmarks!
I have not gone through this update cycle before. Are the ADA cards likely to come down in price some when the new cards are released?
You will be able to find used ones for a couple thousand off. In fact I’ll have one to sell in a couple weeks.
They put the cards up on their website.
Is it bad that I see more purpose in that than the 5090?
first time , i am genuinely insulted with an nvidia product launch , i was initially planning on buying a 5090 but due the lack of volume , i am giving up on nvidia for this gen . havnt gotten myself to test the pro6000 hopefully this works as intended , recently saw a new post on reddit on the cables burning .If i didn’t need cuda , would have gone AMD , we live in such times !!!
I was wondering about this too, and if you decided to post an update thread talking about doing this, I would not complain at all.
Why? The 5090 is a decent card. 4090 had the same issue with some cables getting burnt up. Decent performance boost, additional vram, only issue with the 5090 at launch seemed to be availability and some driver bugs but those things happen all the time.
If I didn’t have a specific need for vram I would be all over the 5090.
well normally i would agree but , i have the mindset that if i pay 2k ( now most 5090s are like 3k +) or more on a premium product , i expect it to work for straight away , but this gen , u spend more money and i am more tensed abt it being a fire hazard , or having missing ROPS , and driver issues . one of the problems with missing ROPS is that there are places knowingly selling defective 5090s , and getting a replacement is much harder with the availability as it is . even gamers nexus did a piece on the drivers https://youtu.be/NTXoUsdSAnA?si=NftaIVrKIuWjdEoJ . most of these issues would be fine if i were a casual gamer , where i spend weekend gaming and incase something happens , i get time to fix in a month , but when we are working lads , when we rely on these GPUs for our bread , yeah … i am staying away . i prefer a stable product with lower performance than a premium unstable one . Maybe this is just me
Yeh, if you are using your gpu for bread one of the RTX pro cards is probably for you then.
Wow that was quick, they are already sold out till late may now. Glad I got my pre-order in early.
Sounds about right to me. Blackwell, at all levels, has been insane. I’m just glad I’m one of the people handing out shovels for now.
forgive me for I am but a mere pleb in this thread
but uh, what exactly are you guys trying to run on $20,000 of gpu
In my case, Mad Science!
Modeling, simulation, training, validation
whats the eta for your 6000 blackwell?
