Router with ethernet port connecting to an adsl connection question

So I have an TP-Link Archer c7 with ethernet port connections, however the place I am in currently in has adsl 2 with only phone line connections..... I don't want to buy a new router, and was wondering if there was a way i could make/buy a sppliter/filter that would enable me to connect from mny phone line to ethernet cable?

I have a random patch panel in the garage for a server too... Is it possible

You need an appropriate ADSL2 modem.

@noenken thanks for the reply btw)
I have this one, but I can't use it

it has the adsl2 connection

what i have that is free is

so there is no way to do anything about connecting it to a phone port instead of via ethernet....? or is there a connection i can buy

I have a heap oif crap laying around if it's a router model issue - ie servers that are not being used heaps of cables etc

I'm not sure if I really understand what you are saying but the Archer C7 does not have an ADSL2 modem integrated. So either you need a modem or a different router.

Why can't you use the D7?

You need a modem to go between the phone line and the router. Either buy one or if you have an old modem you can use that, just put it in bridge mode and plug it in to the router's WAN port.

@Dexter_Kane Ahhh sweet.
Yeah doesnt have to be that modem sweet. got one laying around.

@noenken yeah sorry, it didnt help that i didnt understand either :P

If you do end up needing another rmodem. Tplink do a pretty cheap fairly reliable one. Td-8616

I'm using a DrayTek Vigor 130 as a modem and an APU.1D4 router with PFSense. The TP-Link doesn't work for german V-DSL.
